Community Medical and Dental Care is seeking to hire an outgoing and caring individual for our Patient Information Desk for a P/T position for some Sundays and the afternoon shift. The candidate is responsible for providing the first point of contact to patients and creating an excellent first impression while maintaining the safety and security of patients and employees.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Deliver exemplary customer service to maintain customer loyalty.
  • Confer with customers by telephone or in person to provide information about services.
  • Greet and direct patients to appropriate departments.
  • Coordinate transportation (taxi) for patients.
  • Facilitate lab services for patients.
  • Sign patients up for the Patient's Portal.
  • Solicit patient feedback regarding services and take action to solve deficiencies.
  • Ensure the front desk remains organized while maintaining sanitation and cleanliness standards at all times. 
  • Maintain integrity, confidentiality, and sensitivity when working with both internal and external clients.
  • Basic security as needed
  • Provide assistance to other departments as needed.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Acute sense of judgment, tact and diplomacy
  • A strong-sense of teamwork and ability to execute programs
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • At least 1 year of  experience in a healthcare setting, preferred
